Mexican Burgers

Ingredients
Burgers
400 grams lean minced beef
1 egg (50 grams)
2 tabsp breadcrumbs (20 grams)
1 finely chopped clove garlic (3 grams)
1 small finely chopped red capsicum (100 grams)
2 teaspoons lemon juice (10 ml)
1/2 teaspoon Mexican chilli powder
Salt and pepper to taste

Salsa
2 finely chopped roma tomatoes (200 grams)
1/3 cup finely chopped basil
1 tabsp lemon juice (20 ml)
2 finely chopped cloves garlic (6 grams)

1/2 medium sliced avocado (100 grams)
4 large lettuce leaves (200 grams)
4 large buns (280 grams)
 
Method
Mix mince, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, capsicum, lemon juice, and chilli powder together.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Form into 4 firm flat patties.
Fry in a non-stick pan turning once and cooking until no longer pink inside.
Mix tomato, basil, lemon juice and garlic together.
Prepare Mexican Burger by placing sliced avocado on one open side and lettuce followed by cooked pattie and topped with salsa on the other.
Serves : 4   Quantity per Serve : 1 burger
