Five Spice Pork Rissoles
Can be fried or cooked on the bbq.
Ingredients
1 small finely chopped onion (50 grams)
3 finely sliced spring onions (30 grams)
2 crushed garlic cloves (4 grams)
2 tsp grated fresh ginger (4 grams)
1 tsp Chinese Five Spice
1 small grated carrot (100 grams)
1 small grated zucchini (100 grams)
500 grams lean pork mince
1 egg (44 grams)
Olive oil spray (3 grams)
Method
Heat a non stick fry pan to medium heat and spray with a small spray of olive oil spray
Cook onion and green onion for 1 minute, then add garlic, ginger, five spice, carrot and zucchini. Cook for 3 mins or until softened. Set aside to cool slightly.
When cooled, add the pork mince and egg and mix well.
Divide into 12 small portions and roll each into a ball, then lightly flatten.
Spray the pan with another spray of olive oil and heat to medium high.
Cook rissoles for 3-4 mins each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
Serve with steamed or stir fried vegetables, or a salad

Variations
Substitute pork mince for chicken or lean beef mince if desired.
