Quick and Easy Gluten Free Falafel Burgers
Ingredients
1 box Orgran Gluten Free Falafel Mix (200grams)
170ml water
1 teaspoon olive oil (5ml)
4 gluten free burger buns (eg The Gluten Free Bakery Buns 90grams each)
2 sliced tomatoes (300grams)
4 washed leaves lettuce (30grams)
2 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce (40grams)
Method
Prepare falafels according to packet instructions up until resting falafel and water mix.
Once falafel mix and water has rested for 15 minutes, heat 1 tsp olive oil in a non-stick fry pan on medium heat. Using a paper towel, wipe the oil around the bottom of the hot pan to coat it and remove the excess.
Make falafel mix into 4 patties and place in the pan. Flatten slightly.
Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until cooked through and browned.
Fill bun with a falafel pattie, 2teaspoons sweet chilli sauce, 3 slices tomato and a lettuce leaf.
Place burger in a sandwich press, if desired, to crisp bun and heat contents.
Serve hot.
