Beef Curry

| Ingredients |
1 medium finely chopped onion (100g) 3 cloves of garlic (9g) 2cm piece of green ginger (10g) 1 tsp ground cumin 2 tabsp beef curry powder (20g) ½ tsp chilli powder (optional) 1 tsp turmeric 1 tabsp mono/polyunsaturated oil (20ml) Lean cubed blade or round steak (500g) 1 tsp Lite salt (5g) 1 medium tomato (100g) 1 large potato (200g) |

| Method |
· Saute onion, garlic, ginger, cumin, curry powder, chilli powder and turmeric with oil in pan. · Cook and stir for 3 to 4 minutes until a curry paste has formed. · Add cubed steak and salt. Cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes. · Add tomato and potato and continue to cook until soft and tender. |
