| Ingredients |
425g can chick peas plus liquid (300g) 1/4 cup sesame seeds (30g) 1 tabsp mono/polyunsaturated vegetable oil (20ml) 1cm piece crushed ginger (5g) 2 crushed cloves garlic (6g) 1/4 cup lemon juice or to taste (65ml) Salt and pepper to taste |

| Method |
· Drain and reserve liquid from chick peas. · Rinse chick peas and place in blender or food processor with sesame seeds, oil, ginger, garlic and lemon juice. · Add 1/3 cup of reserved liquid. · Blend until smooth. · Taste and adjust seasoning as required with a little bit more of lemon juice, pepper or salt. · Add more liquid to desired consistency. |
