It is worth noting that you can obtain a rebate from your health fund for most dietitian services, but this will depend on which health fund you belong to, and the level of cover you have. In addition, some health funds will require you to obtain a verbal or written referral from your Doctor. If you are in doubt about whether you can obtain a rebate, or whether you require a referral to obtain a rebate, please contact your health fund directly.

Food Labelling and Food product reviews

Since December 2002, when the new food standards code was introduced, it is mandatory for most food labels to carry specific nutrient information. As part of this new development, we will be reviewing existing and new products with the view of keeping you better informed and assisting you in interpreting the food label information. If there are particular products, you would like reviewed, email us and we will comply if possible. If you have a concern, probably many others do as well.

NOTE: A listing of all products reviewed to date can be seen under Food & Cooking.
