Bread Crumb Substitutions
If you dont have time to make your own, and dont have any in your cupboard try the following bread crumb substitutions.

Brown Sugar Substitutions
If a recipe requires brown sugar and you realise you dont have any, use the following. 1 cup white sugar plus 1/4 cup molasses (decrease the liquid in recipe by 1/4 cup) or 1 cup white sugar or 1 1/4 cups confectioners' sugar.

Caster Sugar Substitutions
1 cup caster sugar (200g) can be substituted with 1 cup (200g) of granulated white sugar processed in a food processor until fine.

There are 'lower fat' creams now available. Try Bulla reduced fat cream, with 18% fat compared to other creams that have up to 35% fat.
