Arnott’s Lunch Slices
Having a sandwich for lunch each and every day can become mundane. Knowing the old ham and cheese is awaiting you at 12pm can often lead to a last minute dash from the work desk to the local takeout to avoid the same old boring lunch date. Ensuring a varied and interesting diet is just as important as making it healthy, so why not add some variety to the lunch meal. Arnott’s Vita Wheat Lunch Slices are the perfect alternative to bread, and can still be topped with your favourite sandwich ingredients. They come in four flavour varieties, with each including a variety of grains and seeds.
One serving of Arnott’s Lunch Slices is equivalent to two square slices, each roughly the size of a piece of bread, so it is a substantial serve. As is visible in the table below, one serve roughly 200 kilojoules less than the average two slices of wholegrain bread. They have a slightly higher fat content per serve than the average wholegrain bread, coming in at 4 grams of total fat. However, the majority of this fat is in the healthy unsaturated form, coming from the seeds. For those looking for a lower carbohydrate lunch, they contain just over half the amount of carbohydrate of of wholegrain bread, with a little more fibre. They also contain less than half the amount of sodium compared to wholegrain bread.
